I have (static) lines in my image that get faster as I accelerate.

This is caused by electrical interference. The most common source is from the alternator or a loose chassis ground. Noise cancelling filters can also be used to reduce or eliminate the static and are typically available through vehicle stereo suppliers or automotive parts suppliers.
