My controller keeps blowing the main power fuse.


This is the result of a high current draw through the fuse which is typically caused by a short in the system. Areas to look at include:
  • Controller
  • Display to controller cable
  • Remote
  • Camera Cable
  • Camera

Step 1
Unplug all cables from the controller except for the power cable and replace the fuse (be sure you are using a properly rated fuse). Apply power. Did the fuse blow again?
Contact your INTEC Service Rep. They may ask you to return your controller for service.
Go to step 2
Step 2 Replace the fuse and apply power to the controller. One at a time plug in the display to controller cable and camera cable(s). Did the fuse blow again?

(If so note which cable was plugged in when the fuse blew)
Display Cable Go to step 3
Camera Cable Go to step 6
Done
Step 3 Unplug the display to controller cable and remote control from the display. Replace the fuse then plug in the display to controller cable only. Did the fuse blow? Replace the display to controller cable Go to step 4
Step 4 Plug the display back in. Did the fuse blow? Contact your INTEC Service Rep. They may ask you to return your display for service. Go to step 5
Step 5 Plug in the remote. Did the fuse blow? Contact your INTEC Service Rep. They may ask you to return your remote for service.  
Step 6 Unplug the camera(s) from the camera cable(s). Plug the camera cable(s) back in one at a time. Did the fuse blow again? Replace the camera cable and retest Go to step 7
Step 7 Leave the camera cable(s) plugged in at the controller. Now plug the camera(s) back in one at a time. Did the fuse blow again? Contact your INTEC Service Rep. They may ask you to return your camera for service.
