My system keeps blowing fuses.


This is typically the result of a short in the camera cable. Areas to look at include:

  • Monitor

Step 1
Unplug the camera cable(s) from the monitor pigtail(s) and replace the fuse. Turn the system on. Did the fuse blow? Note: Use only properly rated 5 amp fuses.
Contact your INTEC service rep. They may ask you to return your monitor for service.
Go to step 2
Step 2 Is your system a multi camera system using a Car Vision switcher? Go to step 3 Go to step 4
Step 3 Unplug all the camera cables from the switcher box and plug only the switcher back into the monitor. Did the fuse blow? Contact your INTEC service rep. They may ask you to return your switcher for service. Go to step 4
Step 4 Plug the camera cables back in one at a time. Did the fuse blow? Make note if the fuse blows again on which cable you plugged in when it happened. Go to step 5 Done
Step 5 Unplug the camera from the cable that blew the fuse. This time only plug the cable back in. Did the fuse blow again? Replace the cable and retest Go to step 6
Step 6 Contact your INTEC Service Rep. They may ask you to return your camera for service.
